Step 1: Identify the Need
We were to make a toy for children aged between 5-8 years using Sketchup.
Mindmap about the likes of children in that age group
I chose girls as my target audience.

I chose this design because this one was the most precised and looked beautiful. I also chose this because I always liked kittens in my childhood. The dimensions of this design is 4cm*4cm*3cm and I would like it to be in white color.
Challenges Faced
There were many unexpected challenges while I was making CAD design in sketchup. As I have used Sketchup before, I had some experience with Sketchup. I thought that it would not be that difficult to make. But when I started making this, I found it really difficult to first figure out the correct proportion and I was having a hard time in making the cat's curves.
CHANGE IN DESIGN!!
I wanted to make the above design but when I actually started working on this on Google Sketchup, I found it really difficult to make as it has lots of curves and I found making curves on Sketchup really challenging. So, I changed my design and decided to make a Minnie Mouse keyring with the dimensions of 3cm*3cm*2cm

Appealing because of his funny facial features like his long nose which looks like carrot, his huge white teeth and his standing strands of hair

His hands are really thin with pointed fingers which might be dangerous for the kids.

As he is sitting, the position might not be proper and the toy would not be balanced.
Redesigning the 'Minnie Key Ring'
If I would given an opportunity to redesign this toy, I would make the minnie's signature bow, make her ears also in spherical shape. I forgot to add the key ring hole, so I would like to add that as well.
